SPECIAL REQUEST FOR YOU, READING THIS PAGE:
years ago, i found an autobiographical webcomic about a young man's experiences with early cyberpunk culture (i think it was in the sf bay area?). he goes to a convention, i think the mondo 2000 people were there, and he wrote about how the movement was both artificial and passionate. i lost this link! if you know what i'm talking about or where to find it, please let me know. i can't give you a bitcoin but i can make you a mixtape and give your website a smooch through my screen. thank you!
cyberpunk page ideas: w. gibson, j. noon, horselover fat, '77 review for modded ps4 slim (janky, worth it) & its one "punk" moment (a really clever iggy pop joke), industrial music (i wonder if i can scan the "canned man" title page from the MtH yoshu fukushu manga w/o getting kicked out of the library for all you SYL/heavy devy fans). fun fact i learned putting this outline together: ministry's "N.W.O" and nine inch nails' "wish" were competing for the 1993 metal grammy (wish won, i love both songs as well as the fact that N.W.O. and the simpsons will be the two major parts of us president [anagram: huge bog shrew]'s legacy). imagine if instead ministry and nin remixed the songs together and destroyed the grammies.
character naming ideas for cy_borg: porygon aura, the cyclothymian, the hoglan triplets, kosmo dendy, thizz millions, lyxzén mnenomic, taichō ponpadōru, abita flatcan, burt n. seabell, dribble, cass wasted, billy idol

- "al jourgensen and gibby haynes were timothy leary's psychedelic guinea pigs" - how a greasy acid casualty (proof) from tx helped pave the way for industrial metal to go multiplatinum and fill arenas after "jesus is my hotrod" charted on the billboard dance singles

- more corporate hellworld crap: my favorite fear factory album front to back, "archetype", is unavailable on the big green streaming service due to record label red tape
- appreciation for one of the most unexpected turns in indie music, l.a. group HEALTH going industrial metal. they're even sampling godflesh now! i found out about their new sound as well as my favorite new rapper, lil gili young gili, through chain of collaborations NIN to HEALTH to ada rook/black dresses to rirugiliyangugili. thank you trent from cleveland (related: if it wasn't for the meme video that made goths embarrassed to dance in public, we could be living in this beautiful utopia)
- idea for a cyberpunk 2077 mod that will only ever exist in my imagination: replace all the billboard ads in the game with a repeating loop of real-life american (u.s. & mexico) & japanese tv ads from the 1980s
- cy_borg ttrpg's "rule #00" is my favorite rule in gaming
- try not to mention how i've still never played shadowrun or pondsmith's cyberpunk ttrpgs (oops)
- review/compare the shadowrun video games for SNES & genesis

- have y'all heard PIG's cover of 1979?
- how mumble rap (which i am also a fan of) sounds like the music a cyberpunk author from the 1980s would imagine 2020s popular music to sound. i'm also a fan of the dennis rodman meets myspace crunkcore fashion sensibility
- mini shrines to my favorite electro-industrial artists: velvet acid christ, front line assembly, ohGr, & skippy puppy (see below)
